My Latest Projects : CD Rom style brushless motor

CD Rom style brushless motors have been around now for at least a year. In that time a company called Go-Brushless has been supplying CD Rom components so that you can create matched motors or at least be able to purchase standard parts.

Here is what you get. Locate the flux ring, One end has a slight chamfer. The magnets are flush with the other side.

Use the optional spacer to evenly space the 12 magnets, NSNSNSNSNSNS

Use thin CA to glue in the magnets

Remove CA from on top of the magnets

Next , mix up some 5 minute epoxy. Carefully apply epoxy in between the magnets. The more careful you are now, the less epoxy trimming you will do when it cures.

I use a bamboo skewer

Epoxy trimmed and smoothed to give a good bond to the magnets

Line up the flux ring and End Bell
